Getting Here

The Department of City & Metropolitan Planning offices are located in the
Architecture + Planning building on the campus of University of Utah.

Here are directions to our offices via a variety of transportation modes:

Utah Transit Authority (public bus system) & Campus Bus Routes

• GREEN Rt. 21
• BLUE Rts. 223, 17, 9, 228, 213
• YELLOW Rts. 455, 471
• RED Rts. 354, 810, 473, 313

1. Disembark at the South Campus Drive Stop
2. Walk West toward The Utah Museum of Fine Arts
3. Turn Right after C. Roland Christensen Center
4. Enter through Northwest doors of the Architecture + Planning Building to the left
5. The Department of City & Metropolitan Planning offices are located in the Architecture + Planning building, on the second floor through a set of double doors at the top of the staircase, and to the right, in room 220.

UTA TRAX (public light rail system)

1. Take TRAX westbound Towards University / Hospital
2. Exit TRAX at the University South Campus station
3. Walk South on South Campus Drive
4. Turn Right on 1725 East
5. The Architecture + Planning Building is located west of the C. Roland Christensen Center and north of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
6. Enter through the North East Entrance of the Architecture + Planning Building

DRIVING

From the North, heading South on I-15:

1. Driving South on I-15
2. Take 400 S Exit
3. Left on 400 S
4. Left on 300 West
5. Right on 300 South
6. Right on University Street (1350 East)
7. Left on South Campus Drive
8. Left on 1725 East
9. Right on Campus Center Drive
10. Right into Visitor Pay Lot (Across from Francis Armstrong Madsen Building)
11. Walk west towards Utah Museum of Fine Arts
12. Turn Right after C. Roland Christensen Center
13. Enter through Northwest doors of the Architecture + Planning Building to left

From the South, heading North on I-15:

1. Driving North on I-15
2. Take 400 S Exit
3. Left on 400 S
4. Left on 300 West
5. Right on 300 South
6. Right on University Street (1350 East)
7. Left on South Campus Drive
8. Left on 1725 East
9. Right on Campus Center Drive
