Graduate Certificate in City & Metropolitan Planning
The Graduate Certificate in City & Metropolitan Planning provides students and professionals with an appreciation of planning methods and strategies needed to meet contemporary planning challenges. This minimum 15-credit hour certificate is particularly well-suited for professionals and consultants whose work in architecture, real estate, public agencies, private and non-profit organizations and other areas affect the built environment. It is also well-suited for graduate students whose studies are in or related to those fields.
Certificate in City & Metropolitan Planning Requirements
Certificate program requirements are in three parts: (1) Foundational Knowledge, (2) Practical Skills and (3) Substantive Area Electives. Requirements are satisfied by completing the minimum credit hours needed in each part, including courses cross-listed with ARCH or REDEV, or others approved by the Department.
Foundational Knowledge (minimum 3 credits from among):
