Mestizo Arts and Activism Project

The Mestizo Arts & Activism Project is a community based program that focuses on young people growing up in the West Side of Salt Lake City. The program offers leadership, civic engagement, and integration of community-based arts, research, education, and social change. Currently 15 high school students who reside on the West Side are involved in the program which meets twice a week after school. The project is directed by faculty members from the University of Utah, Matt Bradley (Honors College) and Caitlin Cahill (Department of City & Metropolitan Planning).
